Nick was raised in Moorhead, MN. He has spent most of his life dedicated to the sport of ice hockey. He played for fifteen years in MN and two years in the USHL before the University of Denver Pioneers recruited him. During his four years with the Pioneers, he captained the team in 2005 and won back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2004 and 2005. Nick is currently the radio color analyst on 1510 AM for the University of Denver Pioneers and is both an owner and trainer for the recently opened off ice hockey specific training center, Total Hockey Academy. Nick joined Merrill Lynch where he learned the ropes of the financial services industry. From 2005 to 2007, Nick honed his skills by working with a clientele whose average age was between 25 and 35 years old. He focused on retirement planning and analysis and belonged to a team of advisors who managed $800M in assets. He rounded out his position at Merrill Lynch as a Syndicate Manager in charge of IPOs (Initial Public Offerings). A mutual friend introduced Nick to Dave Mowatt, late in 2007. Nick was impressed with Mowatt Financial's business model and their personalized approach with their clientele. He joined the Mowatt Financial team in December 2007, and has found it to be just what his clients needed. Nick is proud to be able to provide his clients with more diversified investment options, clear, concise and personalized investment strategies, and the knowledge and expertise that Dave Mowatt and his staff have gained in more than 30 years of experience.
